Hyaluron Pen vs Injections

“THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD”

(Edward Bulwer-Lyton 1839)

It’s as if good old Eddie knew, 180 years ago, that you were going to understand this today!

Who do we mean by “you”? Well, any and everybody who dreams of having those full and kissable lips (think Kylie Jenner) but may not have been blessed by the lip fairy at birth.  The good news is (and yes, we ALWAYS bringing you good news) is that ‘where there is a will, there is a way’.  Multiple ‘ways’ in fact – we just want to make sure you choose the right one.

Let’s take a look at the 2 main options.

  1. Injectable Lip Fillers – Injecting Dermal lip fillers is a very common method used for Lip Augmentation.  It involves injecting small doses of filler underneath the skin to fill sunken area and give a more firm appearance.  These days the fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid or something very similar.
  1. Hyaluron Pen Fillers – The Hyaluron Pen is works by injecting hyaluronic acid into the skin to build-up the volume of areas on the face, like the lips, for example.  Effectively, it is a dermal filler without the need for a needle.

Both methods may sound similar as they both involve getting Hyaluronic Acid inside the skin, but in fact they have very different ways of doing so.

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body that makes sure that skin tissue has the right moisture levels need to keep the skin looking full and firm.  Both the injection and the Pen work by giving the body more of this Acid as the body is not able to produce as much as we get older.

The Hyaluron Pen treatment is a much newer method but is fast becoming a the more popular alternative the injections.

So how do they compare?

  INJECTION HYALURON PEN

PAIN/DISCOMFORT More – involves the use of a needle to pierce the skin Nowhere near that of using a needle
DOWNTIME More – you will need to wait a few days for bruising/swelling to go down Less  – as no risk or bruising or swelling.  May have minor redness
EXPENSE Average cost £300 to £500 Average cost £100 to £200
SCOPE FOR MISTAKESINJURY Risk of injecting into blood vessels can cause many complications No such risk

As you can see, when compared, using the Hyaluronic pen is a safer and more cost-effective means of getting those fuller lips and cheeks.  It provides a simpler and non-invasive way to rejuvenate the face.

It minimises, if not completely removes, the risk of injury, it is quicker and cheaper and does not leave any needle marks!

So if you, like many, are terrified of needles and everything that comes with them, you need look no further.  Your prayers have been answered.

If you want the elite lip service of the future – just remember what Eddie said in the past (about 180 years ago to be precise) … “the pen is mightier than the sword”.
